Your liposuction will be performed by Jaiswal at our world-class Flamingo Surgery Center. When you arrive at our surgical center, our compassionate team will lead you to a comfortable room to prepare for surgery.
Dr. Jaiswal uses Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL) which is a state-of-the-art technique used for fat removal in the smoothest, least traumatic way possible. He also will do abdominal high-definition etching in order to highlight abdominal muscle contours in selected patients.
General anesthesia or local anesthesia can be used. Either way, we’ll ensure that our patients are resting comfortably and not experiencing pain or discomfort. Dr. Jaiswal will place small incisions into the skin and insert the cannula, which is what will help remove the fat. The canula will dislodge and remove any desired fat.
Depending on the surgical area and the amount of fat being removed, lipo typically takes one to three hours to perform.
Dr. Jaiswal will place a compression garment and padding for a few days.
After Dr. Jaiswal has cleared you to return home, you should rest for a few days, and have someone stay with you to help with day-to-day activities, as they can feel more strenuous than usual. Post-op massages and compression garments are essential. It may take 6 months to see the final results as the swelling resolves and the skin finishes shrinking.
Bruising, discomfort, and tenderness are perfectly normal following your surgery. Dr. Jaiswal will tell you when you’re able to remove the compression garments and bandages.
