What’s the First Step?
A consultation with Dr. Jaiswal is necessary to evaluate the neck. From there, he will discuss the different options to treat the areas of concern. The face will be evaluated as well and recommendations made if necessary.
If you’re happy with Dr. Jaiswal’s recommendations, surgery will be booked and we’ll provide pre and postoperative instructions. Dr. Jaiswal will have questions on your medical history, if you smoke cigarettes, and what prescriptions you’re taking. Please be as open and honest with Dr. Jaiswal as possible, as the information provided is designed to help reduce the chance of risks and complications.
Dr. Jaiswal will see you in the pre-operative area and make some markings. The procedure will then be done under local or general anesthesia. Afterward, patients go home the same day.
Recovery time is typically 1-2 weeks. There may be drains that need removal in less than a week. There will be bruising and swelling which will last a number of weeks. Final results may not be seen for 6-12 months.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a nonsurgical neck lift?
Occasionally threads may be used for a non-surgical neck lift, but the duration is limited. Botox can also be used for some modest improvement. Radiofrequency micro-needling can also induce some skin tightening. None of these will produce as drastic an improvement as a surgical neck lift.
What’s the best age for a neck lift?
There is no best age. Neck lifts are appropriate based on the patient’s anatomy, natural aging, and goals for improvement.
How long will the results last?
Necklift results should last years. This is a procedure that does have a tendency to recur so repeat neck lifts are not uncommon later on.
What’s a mini lift?
A mini neck lift typically involves some removal of fat and/or tightening of muscle without removal of skin. This uses an incision under the chin only and recovery is typically quicker. Not all patients are good candidates for this procedure.
